History and Background

SuperCare was founded by Gabe and Micheline Cassar in June 1974 as a community pharmacy which served the Los Angeles area.

SuperCare expanded by opening an HME division in 1983 servicing patients in the Southern California area with Micheline Cassar as the original CEO. John Cassar became the CEO of SuperCare in June 2004 after working in the business since 1991 as a pharmacy technician, operations manager, and Vice President in Sales.

Today, SuperCare is a comprehensive health care organization providing sleep diagnostics, CPAP/BiPAP, respiratory, power wheelchairs, home medical equipment, enteral nutrition, infusion therapy, and a complete line of over 5,000 medical supplies.

Our success stems from our comprehensive services combined with our innovative programs, including our COPD Disease Management and Obstructive Sleep Apnea Programs, and our cutting edge technology solutions which provide better customer service and timely distribution and utilization services.

We provide cost effective managed care solutions for all of our services throughout the years and as a result we have been awarded key managed care and hospital contracts both regionally and nationally.

SuperCare’s corporate office is located in a 70,000 square foot location in the City of Industry with satellite and distribution offices throughout the southland to service patients in Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, and Kern Counties. Our service area also expands throughout California and the U.S.A. for CPAP Therapy and Sleep Diagnostics.

As of 1993, we have been accredited by The Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, or JCAHO, which visits us every few years guaranteeing SuperCare provides the highest standards of service.

Today, SuperCare is over 230 employees strong and ranked one of the top companies in the country. It is our continued mission to provide comprehensive quality health care services with a commitment to excellence in all that we do while exceeding the expectations of our customers.
